The initiative of Young Leaders in the Americas of the US Department of State (YLAI, in English) empowers emerging social and business entrepreneurs from Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States to harness their full economic potential. It empowers entrepreneurs to strengthen their ability to launch and advance their enterprising ideas and to contribute effectively to the social and economic development in their communities.

The YLAI Professional Fellows program is an annual exchange for young business and social entrepreneurs of 37 countries who network with U.S companies and organizations. In addition to leadership training, Young Fellows also develop new abilities, share best practices and create business relationships.
